Thank you for visiting slips away

This short video will show you how simple it is to install our Anti Slip Stair Treads on hardwood stairs. Before we start you will need a dust pan and brush, damp rag, measuring tape, masking tape and pencil

Step 1

It is important that your stairs are clean before you start. Brush the stairs from top to bottom removing all dirt and debris. Using a damp rag wipe down the surface removing any unwanted stains and marks

Step 2

Before laying your treads ensure you stairs are COMPLETELY dry

Step 3

Using your masking tape place the tape on the front edge of the stair. Then measure the width of the stair, divide that measurement in half and using your pencil place a mark on the masking tape.

Step 4

On the backing side of your stair tread measure halfway and place a mark using your pencil or simply fold the tread in half making a slight crease in the backing paper.

Step 5

Wash your hands to remove any skin oils. Carefully peel back the backing paper 3 to 4 inches and place a fold in the backing paper trying not to touch the adhesive. Line up the centre marks and using the masking tape as a guide to keep the tread straight. Place down tread and press down firmly using the roller provided removing all air bubbles.

Step 6

Slowly peel back the backing paper and continue pressing down using the roller. Once all the treads are in place press down firmly starting at the centre and working outwards ensuring they are well in place and there are no air bubbles.

AND THAT’S IT…… Your stairs are now safer and ready to use. Thank you for visiting Slips away. Visit our website to see more fantastic Non-slip solutions for around the home.
