I discovered through experimentation that this sandwich (bottom cutting plate, plastic shim, metal shim, stencil, cardstock and top cutting plate) worked really well at producing a deeply embossed image on my 300gsm Papermania card base when using a stencil in my Gemini Junior machine from Crafter’s Companion. Stencils are comparatively inexpensive crafting supplies and are available in a very wide variety of images and patterns. The doodle heart stencil from Phill Martin embossed a lovely background for my Valentine’s card.
