Ask a Mechanic: Taping Rims to Make Them Tubeless

Taping a mountain bike wheel to go tubeless is pretty simple. The only issue that you might encounter is finding a rim tape that is wide enough to cover the entire inner-rim channel, especially with the trend in rims going wider and wider these days. This week Art’s Cyclery’s Greg O’Keeffe gives us some great tips and tricks to tape your rims tubeless with ease. All that’s left is to insert the valve stem, mount the tire, add the sealant, and inflate your ride.
