A chain is only as strong as its weakest link! Double-sided tape issue with IR transmitter…

Apparently, according to B&O, the only way to stop the IR transmitter falling off the front of my Sky Q box is to stick it on with tape. So much for B&O’s fabled ‘design philosophy’: aesthetically pleasing, functional and easy to use (!)… They say that the system is designed for the Sky Q box to be shut away in a cupboard, and not visible; that’s easy to say, but wouldn’t have worked for me in practice since the equipment was installed on 27th January – as the BeoRemote One has had several sporadic faults, which means I regularly need access to the Sky Q box and Blu-ray player, in order to turn them on or off manually (or using the original remotes).
